AN ENTRY LEVEL
PROGRAM for children afraid of water, swim
with water wings or floatation devices or being in
water over their heads. |
Description |
Students will be introduced to and experience
the aquatic environment at and below the interface with
quiet interactions. Learn how to be comfortable under
water, float on backs and stomachs with assistance, safety
jump, and safety skills. They will also interact with
the interface while using breathing applications |

Description |
Children will learn how to integrate breathing skills while in propulsion and
most importantly learn to save themselves in deep water in either an aquatic
signature or back float. |

Strengthen bodyline, balance, and endurance
while integrating breathing in travel and propulsion. Introduce
underwater strokes in back and prone body postures |

- Exhale vertical pencil posture, anchor to bottom of
pool, tap up, accept air at the surface, repeat
rhythmically
- Hover for 5 seconds in a bridge, close to a ball and
open to a bridge in 3.5 ft. of water
- Maintain X,Y, I and pencil back body shapes for one
minute
- Quiet propulsion in T,Y, to pencil, 60 feet (Elementary
Backstroke beginnings)
- Quiet propulsion in a back pencil posture, 60 feet

Description |
Focus on a variety of drills designed to
fine tune freestyle and backstrokes. Harmonic swim will
also be worked on as a foundation for learning butterfly
and breaststroke. Breathing and balance are also
incorporated in stroke mechanics. |
